Our goal at EIEIO Red Barn Farm Preschool is to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment where children can develop their full potential while developing independence, self-esteem, confidence in gaining new skills and deeper knowledge! This occurs through use of language skills, improved critical thinking & decision making, social- emotional and cognitive development, communicating feelings effectively, developing a sense of responsibility, developed motor skills, physical development, curiosity and motivation, taking turns and sharing and so much more!
A few areas we offer are...
Curriculum
A new theme is developed into learning that is well rounded in each area of your child's development! Stories, language & literacy, math, science, sensory hands-on, art, music & movement, dramatic play, cooking projects and much more! Parents receive a weekly detailed lesson plan that tells what we do daily, pictures of their children engaged in play & learning daily! Children have tangible items they take home daily and are able to share what they did and learned within their day! Children enjoy learning and helping in a structured and routine atmosphere where they thrive and grow each day!
Outdoor Play
Our Outdoor Play area offers activities & fun to help children develop their motor skills, coordination and pretend play. We have opportunities for children to feed and help w/ farm chores or pet farm animals if desired. We have an abundance of nature that surrounds our 5 acres and love to walk along our private dirt road and make wildflower bouquet, study butterflies, frogs and various insects! We take science and art outdoors and have many hands on discoveries throughout the year! We always wear sunscreen and stay hydrated & shaded! We love to garden and grow our own fruits & vegetables as well as flowers!
Art
Our art is a combination of free-choice, process art and some lightly structured (crafts) on occasion! It's important for children to feel excited, confident and happy when they create their idea and vision of artistic expressions! Sometimes we paint w/ mud, nature materials, fingers, and kitchen utensils! There is no wrong way to create and children will never be criticized for their ideas, but rather congratulated and praised for their creativity! Children will be gently guided on an easier approach at using & exploring how to hold utensils or scissors so that they can learn proper form when necessary!
Science
In every day learning we find science, whether it be natural (physical) or hands on experiments that we create or cooking creations that work by chemical reactions. Not only do children love the process of discovering science, but the teacher is impressed and still learning too! Children show such curiosity and interest in the magic and knowledge gained in all areas but especially this! The study of how insects live, breed and produce is one of our favorite! We have raised an abandoned 3 day old baby bird and learned so much about how to care for and help it, watched it develop and grow! Also impressive for a first time 28 year veteran teacher!

At EIEIO Red Barn Farm Preschool, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique program incorporates a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for exciting hands-on, experiential learning. Children learn through play, instruction and by exploring their own ideas and creativity! It is my passion to teach, watch and allow children the opportunity to build on their knowledge, love for learning, working together with others to help and learn new ways of being supportive and creative in their job of individualism & peers! It is successful for each child to continue developing a love of learning and excitement for discovery in their world and lives!

Miss Heather
It's with sincere passion & joy I offer my expertise in educating and nurturing young children! I value each child's learning & development, family connection & how we work together within our community, the traditional values of truth, respect, loving one another and quality relationships! I continue my 28 year career of teaching by offering quality childcare! I offer a unique atmosphere and family setting where children will thrive, continue growing their independence, self-esteem, knowledge & skills, abundant laughs, genuine friendships and lifelong memories! Together we are building community and contributing members of society! Children need direction, support and LOVE in order to grow and flourish and THIS is my calling. I'm dedicated to my profession as a teacher and leader to children & families EVERY day!
